Whilst most of the world is moving quickly towards a technological revolution & some developing nations are emerging with new super powers, Sri Lanka has struggled almost three decades with a domestic ethnic conflict which has adversely affected all sectors of the country including the education.

Many children in Sri Lanka have never even heard the word “Globalization” as they have a much more important daily battle to win in order to survive from poverty.
 
 

• A few thousand years ago Ceylon (Sri Lanka) was an economically prosperous   country which ruled by great kings and still proud to discuss & teach our children   about.

• In my eyes Sri Lanka is still an incredible country which is rich in culture; natural   beauty & whose people's hearts are filled with hospitality.

• I was admitted to the first grade of a leading school in Colombo in 1986. Admission   to this primary school was reserved for a limited number of children from certain   family backgrounds.
